Franklin Benjamin Elman is the Creative Director and vision behind the renaissance of Trigère, the French-American fashion Maison founded in 1942 by legendary couturière Pauline Trigère. Reestablished in 2018, Elman’s designs have since been worn by some of the worlds most stylishly iconic women, including Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert, Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Winona Ryder.

A native of Montréal and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he launched his career in Paris, where he cultivated an important formation in fashion design and founded an eponymous luxury footwear label. Over the past two decades, Elman has gained recognition as a design director and creative consultant while working at numerous luxury fashion houses including Jil Sander, Costume National, Rick Owens and Dior. His work has been featured in publications including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Vogue International, W, and more.

Elman currently resides between Montréal and Europe, traveling frequently to Milan, Paris and London.
